EPD (Environmental product declaration)

EPD is a voluntary environmental product declaration, certified in relation to international standards (ISO 14025 / EN 15804), which documents the product’s environmental footprint throughout its life cycle. It is a new tool that justifies and reinforces the choice of products of high environmental quality within the top sustainable building rating systems.

Leed Compliant

Certification is given in the United States by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Similar associations, such as the Green Building Council Italia of which NovaBell is associated (www.gbcitalia.org),are rapidly appearing in other countries. The LEED rating system evaluates and certifies the environmental, social and economic sustainability of buildings, considered on the whole.

Breeam

Breeam (the Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) is a certification method that assesses buildings’ environmental quality, in operation since 1990. Breeam uses the “green guide calculator” to rate the ecological performance of a number of construction materials.
